I hear and listen to the
music. This crazy and ordered jumble of sound is often
beyond my spoken vocabulary. Ear Full of Jazz helps
me to digest and make whole what initially seems to
be chaos.
The beauty of chaos is that it exists despite the logical
wish for it to disappear.
For 2 years this piece was untitled until it's picture
appeared in a newspaper next to an article explaining
a local event.
The title for the article was 'ear full of jazz'.
All I saw was my sculpture with what has become its
title underneath the picture, no question it was perfect
and I am glad to have not forced a name upon it. During
the making of the work i had been introduced to the
concept of Emergence. |
