This piece was made during a stone-carving symposium
held in Picton, New Zealand.
Local schools and members of the public interacted during
the carving process.
The piece is located at Waikawa Bay Elementary School
and is used as inspirational material for various classroom
projects
The stone is Oamaru limestone and quarried on the south
island in Oamaru.
Found objects from the shoreline were used to inspire
the work.
